What do Community Mondays look like?

The venue is transformed into a coworking space for the first three Mondays of the month and is open to members from 10am-5pm. Bring your laptop or whatever you need to get your work done. It’s open house style so come whenever you can. Lunch and Learns will take place from noon-2.

Why Mondays?

Because we want you to realize that they don’t suck! Mondays are the perfect day to start your week off on the right foot and set the tone for the rest of the week. What do you do the 4th (or sometimes 5th Monday of the month?). You work on your work/well being balance by doing something for YOU!!! Sleep in, get a massage, take a really long walk, explore…..

What will we be covering in our monthly Lunch & Learn?

Lunch & Learns are the first Monday of every month from noon-2pm. A lot of what we discuss depends on the needs of the group. Lauren Armstrong of Created Future Academy will be guiding us through a 2 hour workshop every month to help us with our business struggles. Some topics we have discussed in the past are:

  • Goal setting

  • Time management

  • How to find your audience and reach them

  • Understanding place and people strategies

  • Social media marketing

What if my Mondays are too busy?

We know not everyone's schedule is the same and that Mondays might not work for everyone or all the time. However, these are your accountability days with your community so we highly recommend you make time for at least an hour to two whenever possible, after all they are included with your membership fees.

I’m a working mom and may need to bring my kids. Is that ok?

Always! We know that life is crazy busy sometimes the kids need to be in tow. That’s OK! Although we have plenty of space to spread out and always lots of coloring crayons in stock, we do not have babysitters on staff due to liability reasons. Our members have arranged ride shares and babysitting shares in the past so that is another opportunity.

What sort of PERKS will we receive with our membership?

What are Lady Boss passes?

Depending on your membership level, you will get a certain number of Lady Boss passes. You can bring friend who you feel would benefit from our community on one of our Community Mondays. They can hang out, work and meet other members. You will not get an actual physical pass. Instead, you will have to check them in with Anahata Collaborative when you get there. There is no currency value to the passes so you cannot redeem them for cash or get a refund for any unused passes.

What is Yellow Collective?

Yellow Collective is a national organization for Women Owned Business who are doing good with their businesses all over the world. You can find out more about Yellow Co here. A monthly online membership to Yellow Co is included for Biz Builder and The Works memberships.

What is Rising Tide Society?

Rising Tide is a living library of educational resources by creatives for creatives. With blog content from thought-leaders throughout the creative industry, free educational webinarsmonthly guides, and online summits—our members are equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed in business. We’ll help you set up your profile and you will receive monthly content emails from Rising Tide Society. This is available for ALL membership levels and is considered a PERK.

What is the MAIA Community?

MAIA community is a searchable database of all women owned businesses. Their mission is to support and encourage Women-Conscious consumerism and help achieve gender equality and tackle the gender pay gap. Your Listing is included in ALL membership levels.

I have The Works membership and want to know how to use my free hours.

Your hours must be used during your 12 month membership. You can choose how to use them! You must use them in hour increments (not half hours or minutes). If you’re ready to book your hours, you would complete the online venue request. When your hours are approved, you’ll have to sign the venue use contract for those hours just like everyone else. Keep in mind, you will be be allowed access to the venue outside of your rented hours so make sure you give yourself enough time. There is also a fee to reschedule your dates so be sure to read your contract closely. Hours are not transferable and cannot be given to someone else. If you use up your 18 free hours and would like to book more hours in the venue, you will get a 50% discount on additional hours. For using those hours, you would follow the same process. The Booking Manager at Anahata Collaborative can help you with this.

I have a Community Membership or Biz Builder Membership and would like to use my discounted hours for the venue.

What is the Venue Affiliate Program?

Whenever someone you refer books the venue at our regular rates, you will receive 10% to put toward your business after their event as long as you are an active Anahata Collaborative Member.

What is the Share the Love Program?

This is our membership referral program. Receive 10% of a referral’s membership fees (starting their second month) through their membership at Anahata Collaborative as long as you are an active Anahata Collaborative Member.

What if I have to cancel my membership?

Community Member and Biz Builder memberships are for 6 month increments: it will auto-renew on your 6th month anniversary, unless you tell us in writing otherwise at least 30 days prior to the renewal date. Cancellations must be in writing: please email us.

The Works memberships are for 12 months: it will auto-renew on your 12th month anniversary, unless you tell us in writing otherwise at least 30 days prior to the renewal date. Cancellations must be in writing: please email us.

Are there refunds?

No. There are no refunds. 

What are the Terms and Conditions of the memberships?

Well, there's a long-winded version. But the short version is this: please don't copy, duplicate, share material from our Lunch & Learns or any other Anahata Collaborative event unless permission is given by the presenter. As for our collective space: be nice and respectful of each other as human beings. There is zero tolerance for bullying of any kind. Be bold, Be brave, Be honest, Be kind.
