The Gild - Creative Monday

GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY

karly-santiago-319853-unsplash.jpg

Details TBA

Creativity is not only fun, but it’s a HUGE part of mental wellbeing. Have you heard of Art Therapy?

Small business owners, even those who are artists as a business, tend to get overwhelmed and dragged down by all the details of running a small business (taxes, accounting, sales, marketing, website, SEO, branding, communications, etc…). They often lose sight of what really brings them joy: Being Creative!

Even if you think you don’t have a creative bone in your body, that doesn’t mean you won’t benefit from doing something with your hands!

You can’t use up creativity. The more more you use, the more you have. - Maya Angelou

These Creative Mondays will be for having fun and playing! No experience needed for any of these workshops. The workshops will be different every month, examples being: mandala making, weaving, photography, hand lettering, painting, hand building clay, and more.

Workshops are $45 for Non-Members, and Free for Members of The Gild.

Anahata is open from one hour before class and two hours after (11-3) for networking or spending more time implementing what you have learned. Class is from noon-1pm (feel free to bring your lunch!).

What is The Gild?

the gild - new for 2019

START YOUR WEEK OFF INSPIRED & READY TO ROLL EVERY WEEK

After many, many, many discussions with our fellow creative and wellness small business owners we discovered that many of you are already working from home, in coffee shops, in your studios or in other office spaces. You were feeling settled into your spaces, especially if you had a area full of all of your painting supplies, or all your reference books. You also loved the energies of coffee shops. So then what was missing? People, Direction and Balance! What was missing was other creative entrepreneurs who are also learning how to do it all on their own: how to sell their paintings, how to edit their photos, how to price and sell their products, how to be more efficient, how to build a retreat, how to juggle your new business with family obligations, how to continue to be inspired, how to achieve work/life balance, etc... People you could talk to, learn from, and collaborate with. Enter, The Gild!

We know you feel lonely working your butt off trying to build your business, and we also know you don't always feel like dressing up to attend Networking events. This is the perfect chance to be part of a community of like-minded entrepreneurs in your own way. And you know what? We won't even judge if you show up in your sweats or mismatched socks. Come as you are. All humans are welcome.

We are passionate about helping our Doing-It-All-Yourself entrepreneurs and small business owners by giving them the skills and support they need to continue doing it all themselves, but with more focus and clarity, while driving more business and maintaining a work/life balance and inspiring creativity.

The Gild - Mental Health/Wellbeing Monday

hutomo-abrianto-576211-unsplash.jpg

Being a small business owner can take a toll not only on your physical health and wellbeing, but also on your mental health and your relationships. This Monday is a no-holds barred day to really dig into how we are feeling and how to find help and support. This isn’t a workshop where we just tell you that you need to exercise more or eat all the right foods and then everything will be fine. We want to talk about ALL the struggles within a supportive community and give you tools to help you through so you can be not only the best small business owner you can be, but the best HUMAN you can be.

We don’t talk about work/life balance, we talk about work/wellbeing balance. We believe the roadmap to mental wellbeing is based on 4 pillars and that’s what this entire GILD and Anahata Academy is build around.

We know being a small business owner can be hard and frustrating. We also know how exhausting it can be putting up that “Everything is perfect’ front all the time. Let’s dig in together and work on our mental wellbeing together.

Workshops are $45 each or FREE for members of The Gild. All workshops are held at Anahata Collaborative unless noted otherwise. Workshops are one hour from noon-1 (feel free to bring your lunch). The venue will be open from 11-3 if you’d like to stay longer and hang out.

Spring Cleaning: Your Business

Spring Cleaning Facebook cover.png

If you're starting a new business or if you just need a reboot, then you need to come to this event! Learn the fundamentals on how to run your business and brand from a variety of vendors and speakers who help support your business on an everyday basis.

About the Event

On Saturday, April 6th, we will be hosting one workshop for business owners (doors open at 10:30am) and another for artists (doors open at 2pm). You'll be able to meet vendors and chat with them one on one about how their services can help support your business on an everyday basis. Vendors may include printing services, legal services and more! Afterwards, we'll have a 2 hour workshop featuring a variety of speakers that will educate you in areas you may have not known about before. Speakers may include social media marketing, website branding, insurance policies, even a wardrobe stylist who will chat about your image and how it relates to your overall brand.

Business Monday’s are for small business owners just starting or within their first 3 (ish) years of business. We aim at making our workshops accessible to EVERYONE! We don’t assume you already know anything when planning these workshops. Workshops will be hands-on in a supportive, judgement-free environment where you can ask ANY questions and get the answers you need.

Workshops are $45 for Non-Members, and Free for Members of The Gild.

Anahata is open from one hour before class and two hours after (11-3) for networking or spending more time implementing what you have learned. Class is from noon-1pm (feel free to bring your lunch!).

GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY
