Collaborative Mondays

MONDAYS AT ANAHATA COLLABORATIVE:

START YOUR WEEK OFF INSPIRED AND READY TO ROLL EVERY WEEK

We chose Mondays for a reason. This way you can gather motivation, inspiration, actionable goals to carry out through the rest of the week. Then the following Monday, you do it all over again to carry you through the next week. We want these Collaborative Mondays to be an integral part of your week.

After many, many, many discussions with our fellow creative entrepreneurs and wellness entrepreneurs we discovered that many of you are already working from home, in coffee shops or in your studios. You were feeling settled into your spaces, especially if you had a area full of all of your painting supplies, or all your reference books. You also loved the energies of coffee shops. So then what was missing? People! What was missing was other creative entrepreneurs who are also learning how to do it all on their own: how to sell their paintings, how to edit their photos, how to price their products, how to find markets to sell at, how to build a retreat, how to juggle your new business with family obligations, how to continue to be inspired, how to achieve work/life balance, etc...

This is why we came up with the Collaborative Mondays. Just one day a week for you to start each week off on the right foot.

We know you feel lonely working your butt off trying to build your business, and we also know you don't always feel like dressing up to attend Networking events. This is the perfect chance to be part of a community of like-minded entrepreneurs in your own way. And you know what? We won't even judge if you show up in your pjs or mismatched socks. Come as you are. All humans are welcome.

Anahata Collaborative is open on Mondays only from 10am-8pm, open house style for Collaborative Mondays.

Patrons receive many more benefits beyond the Collaborative Mondays! Find out more.

Buzz Session: Heal Your Heart with Passion Collective

Sign up here - limited to 20!

As we look to change aspects of our lives if our center is "off", so is everything else. While we all like to think we're independent, can-do women, often we ignore one core element in our success - our own hearts.

Our self-confidence and the way we talk to ourselves all stems from our heart. But sometimes, what's stopping us from listening to our heart (let alone healing it) feels so BIG, that we just don't even start the healing.

Clare Gardner Nieto will be our expert for this Session. A herbalist based in the Twin Cities, Clare will walk us through alternative methods of addressing emotional healing including vocalizing to release chakras, basic Western energetic pulse testing and how herbs and flower essences can help.

Clare knows a thing or two about change herself, having switched careers recently from project leader in a global ad agency to herbalist. You can read her Passion Story here

This small group session will meet at the wonderful Anahata Collaborative in Uptown Minneapolis. Filled with art, couches, and warmth, this space brings people of all background together.

You will leave this Buzz Session with new knowledge - and new friends.

Sign up here. If you can't make it - please share with other women who will enjoy it!

Bravery Workshop with Fashion Meets Poetry

26220240_2489219354637435_1957041560041891783_n.jpg

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE BRAVE.

Do you know this? Do you believe this? Whether it is a specific incident, deep-rooted wounds, a sequence of events or your own personal struggles, if you have experienced something in life that tested you and changed you as a woman, this workshop is for you. With open hearts and open minds, we will help you recognize your bravery and craft your story. We all carry stories of courage and strength. These experiences can inspire, heal, and empower ourselves and those around us.

DISCOVER YOUR PATH OF BRAVERY
Do you often wonder if you have the courage to conquer the next chapter in life? Would you describe yourself as bold and brave? Well, you are! Bravery exists in all of us. However, society has taught us that bravery is reserved for heroes who perform acts of grand proportions. In Part I of this workshop, we will challenge that notion, reshape its definition and we will recognize our own Path of Bravery.

In this thought-provoking and heartfelt section, you will:
• Be inspired by stories of bravery from around the world.
• Shift your mindset of bravery from heroes to everyday people.
• Learn how to recognize the brave moments in your life.
• Create your own path of bravery.
• Find a deeper connection with the word brave.

CRAFT YOUR STORY
Are you in a place in your life where you are ready to share your story, but don’t know where to start? Do you want to strip back the layers and reveal your most authentic self to the world? Now that you’ve embraced the concept of every day bravery, let’s write your story. Crafting your story, even if only for yourself will allow you to appreciate the journey, build self-awareness, and emerge more connected with your truth. In Part II of this workshop, we will provide you a simple framework and guide you in writing your story. At the end of this workshop, many of you will feel empowered and ready to take your bravery to the next level. If this is you, we can further discuss platforms to share your story.

Workshop available for women ONLY.
Coffee and breakfast provided at the start of the day. Snacks throughout.
Writing materials provided.

Yoga On The Greenway

The Goal of Yoga

The pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible is not the goal. Standing on your hands is not the goal. The goal is to create space where you were once stuck. To unveil the layers of protection you've built around your heart. To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love, well...YOU. Come to your yoga mat to feel; not accomplish. Shift your focus and your heart will grow. -Rachel Brathen

We are firm believers that yoga is for everyone no matter their age, size, abilities, gender, etc... Everyone is welcome.

This is a slow flow class. Beginners are encouraged. This is a donation based class so bring a donation to class if you can. If you can't, that's ok too.

Class is from 8:30-9:30am. Please wear comfortable clothes, bring your yoga mat and plan to arrive 10 minutes early.

Sydney Ward

Sydney brings a sense of playfulness and a keen understanding of physical alignment and anatomy to her practice, and is always sure to bring both to her classes to serve and nurture students of all backgrounds and abilities. Her teaching style incorporates a focus on mindfulness, a deep appreciation of the physical and emotional benefits of yoga, and a strong foundation of self-care. Sydney believes that yoga is for every person and every body and that no class is complete without a little laughter.

Heals Like Honey Workshop

Heals Like Honey Workshop with Black Honey Collective:

Let’s get real, ladies!

There’s too much going on in our beautiful lives to not sit and talk about what makes us want to go crazy. During this 2-part workshop, we will spend some serious bonding time uncovering the barriers we experience on our journey to self-love. We will be stripping away our masks, society’s standards of beauty, and the daily insecurities we all face along with much needed TLC! We’ll be making honey based facials and spoiling ourselves with other skincare goodies with NahVSkin, a natural face photoshoot and light refreshments to end the day.

Tickets are donation based. Suggested donation: $5-10, but give what you can!

Benefits of Honey Facials:

Honey absorbs the impurities from the skin pores and acts as a cleansing agent. It does this without stripping the natural oils in your skin. And since it is a natural antiseptic, it also soothes and heals your skin, leaving your face clear and glowing!

Anahata Collaborative Presents: Living Room Acoustic Showcase Series

Anahata Collaborative is excited to host a Living Room Acoustic Showcase Series, debuting Thursday, March 22nd, 2018, featuring Americana Singer-Songwriter Katy Vernon and Blues Singer-Songwriter Joyann Parker with Mark Lamoine.

Music-lovers of all ages are welcomed to join us for these very special evenings of live entertainment provided by some of the most passionate and talented singer-songwriters in the Midwest. Ticketing for the Living Room Acoustic Showcase will be limited, so reserve your seats today!

The artists will perform their original songwriting in an intimate “Living Room” environment complete with delicious beverages and tasty treats! This cozy setting in the heart of Uptown, Minneapolis is the perfect place for the audience to gain an up-close appreciation of the artist's unique goals, influences and personal stories that shape their songwriting.

About The Living Room Acoustic Showcase Artists

Katy Vernon:

Katy Vernon has played in the Twin Cities for over 10 years but originally hails from London. She recently completed a Kickstarter Campaign to support her 3rd full length album, "Suit of Hearts.” Though she writes in “a folk-y way,” Katy says her new album is the most pop-influenced to date, and was inspired by her first solo tour of the United Kingdom, which found her performing and writing for 6 weeks. Her music, which blends an Americana sound with UK Pop influences, has been featured locally on TPT, WCCO, and The Current. Katy also organizes a yearly ukelele festival in the Twin Cities called UkeFest.

Joyann Parker with Mark Lamoine:

Joyann Parker typically plays with a dynamic 5-piece band, but will be presenting “stripped down” versions of her original blues songs with fellow band-mate and arranger Mark Lamoine. She has been compared to such vocal legends as Janis Joplin, with critics citing her musical prowess and passionate performances. Joyann can be found performing regularly at an array of national festivals and locally at the top jazz/blues clubs in the Twin Cities, including Dakota Jazz Club and Vieux Carre. She will be releasing a new album called “Hard To Love” on April 13th. We have high hopes she'll have a few special pre-release copies at the Showcase!

Class will be instructional with YOU using YOUR iphone so you know what you're doing when you go home! We will have plenty of time to practice in the natural light, artificial light and everything in between. "Lean In" - A Soul-full Speaker Series

The first evening in our 2018 Speaker Series where we explore the intersection of art/creativity and well-being through personal stories. This is a series where we can talk intimately, candidly, kindly, and openly about art and well-being in and around our lives. All are welcome.

For this February evening we will be welcoming Ceallaigh Smart from Print The Love, and Autumn Lee from Autumn Lee Studios.

When you purchase a ticket for this event, you get a second for free to bring someone special. We are calling them Me + One tickets!
